Tim Whitwell is a physicist and acoustic engineer with over 20 years’ experience in loudspeaker research & development, transducer and system design. He specializes in electro-acoustic design, simulation and measurement, electromagnetic and Multi-Physics finite element analysis, Distributed Mode Loudspeaker (DML) design, Balanced Mode Radiator (BMR) design, laser vibrometry and system tuning. His designs have sold in the 100s of millions and won many prestigious awards including What Hi-Fi Product of the Year (twice). Furthermore, Tim is the cited inventor on a number of technology and audio patents.
Tim now lives in the Seattle area with his wife. Though the tea isn’t up to his British standards, as hikers, cyclists and nature lovers they have truly found their home in the stunning Pacific Northwest.
